Why Bayley?

The Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development is regarded as the most accurate early intervention assessment for a child’s development and can be administered from as young as one month of age. It allows us to identify delays early on and prompts intervention and treatment plans.

The Bayley allows the administering therapist to make recommendations about potential therapy interventions across relevant disciplines such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy.

Check your Child's Development

Firstly, we will need a little more information about you and your child.

While we have made every attempt to ensure that the results are reliable. There is no guarantee of the accuracy of the results obtained. We'd advise booking an intake consult should you be concerned about your child's development to ensure an accurate assessment.

+ More Information

The following questions have been designed to help us understand the level of skill your child has achieved so far. Many questions will be similar to the questions your childs' early educator has completed: however some are different to reflect the skill and behaviours you may see more of at home as their parent.

How we Help

The assessment is a wide-ranging measurement of your child’s early development in several key areas:

  • Cognition
  • Language
  • Social-emotional
  • Motor
  • Adapative behaviour

The screening is comprehensive, giving assessors a complete snapshot of your child’s abilities – including non-verbal children – which makes the assessment both cost and time effective.

The Bayley early development assessment is a helpful tool in diagnosing children aged from
1 month to 42 months (3.5 years) with developmental delays and disabilities and identifying the best early intervention services so they have every chance to succeed.
