Why Have Child Counselling?

Our child anxiety counselling therapists implement a range of appropriate strategies to encourage wellness for all. Our sessions allow each individual the opportunity to share anything they feel they need to discuss and understand better.  We provide understanding and compassion at a time of need, while building skills to assist in becoming self-aware and fostering self-growth. We provide child sexual abuse counselling to express themselves in a healthy and productive way that can alleviate any restrictive emotional states such as anxiety, stress and depression from . These states impact our thoughts, feelings, energy and behaviour, and can restrict our abilities to express our needs to others.

Expressive Therapies
Sand Tray

Is an expressive therapies-based intervention style that helps people to process hard to talk about topics or to express themselves when they are unable to do so through words. By incorporating symbols, it allows for the patterns, objects and the movement of the sand to do the talking.

Groups and Programs

Group Programs are a great way to work on a specific set of skills in a social setting with peers of a similar age and skill level.

Groups are allocated based on need. NDIS funded and diagnosed children with developmental or behavioural challenges are in small groups. Private clients, with specific concerns or challenges who participate positively in a mainstream classroom are in larger groups.

Some popular Counsellor-developed groups include:

  • Mindful Magic
  • The Commanders (Functional Communication Program)
  • The M.E.N.D Program (Parent Self Care Training) 
  • The Esteem Team
